Bridging the Chasm Between the Church and Disabled Image Bearers
An Invitation
Listen to Jennifer share a bit of her story that led her to championing a theology of disability. She briefly breaks down a key passage that tell us how people with disabilities are meant to exist in the Church and how the uniformed love of most Christian spaces leave people with disabilities both excluded from the Body of Christ and wounded.

My Mission
-
Unity in the church
We cannot have unity in the church without repairing the harm done to people with disabilities. We cannot repair without repentance of that harm. We cannot have repentance without understanding people with disabilities’ experience of harm.
I’m about facilitating understanding by bridging the gap between the Church and the Disability experience.

Theology of disability
Before we can consider accessibility, we need to consider inclusion that fosters belonging. Before we can consider inclusion, we need a theology of disability based on the heart of God and informed by the Disability experience.
I’m about revealing a theology of disability from which inclusion and accessibility naturally flow.

Disability representation
Just as our heart — a strong muscle yet requiring a specific context to thrive — is vital to our bodies, so too are Disabled saints vital to the Church.
I’m about restoring the diverse voices of people with disabilities from the margins into the body of Christ.
those parts of the body that we consider less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor
